Ah, good to see we're going to be able to help out with costs on the site.

Have been wondering about funding since the introduction of the new-look forums.

Any pointers on a recommended donation amount?

Anything at all helps.  Even if it's a pound then it's a quid more towards the costs .  The advertising used to pay for the hosting/domain costs and sometimes there was a bit left over for the odd prize and give-away.  The revenues declined over time though.  Probably because I didn't keep the ads up to date as that can be quite time consuming.  Personally, I'd prefer a forum without ads anyway so I thought I'd give this way a try before trying out a dynamic (self updating) advertising method.
